Big Eyes

(photo; http://www.historyvshollywood.com/reelfaces/big-eyes/)

The Big Eyes true story reveals that Margaret Hawkins met Walter Keane at an outdoor art fair in San Francisco in the spring of 1955. The real Margaret and Walter have very different memories of their first meeting. In his 1983 memoir, The World of Keane, Walter, who even then was still trying to sell the big eyes lie, says that upon meeting, Margaret told him she loved his big-eyed paintings and that he was the "greatest" and "most handsome" artist she had ever seen.(historyvshollywood, 2014)

I was so excited when I watching Big Eyes movie. This is a mirror of socialism that most people give an valuable power of money more that feeling of relative and people around them. No matter what wrong ways or correct ways, they try to do everything to get a lot of money to spend in their life. Finally, I think that persistence is more valuable than money.

Everyone must watch this movie then you will know why I recommend it!

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND :)

(Photo: http://www.businesskorea.co.kr/article/11494/maker-movement-hardware-startups-are-key-creative-economy)

In the globalization, everything change fast and there are many new technologies for help people to live their life easily and comfortably. Some maker create and express ourselves to feel whole. There is something unique about making physical things. These things are like little pieces of us and seem to embody portions of our souls.

The one of interviewees in this video that strong impact is Elsa Bünger. She is Mark’s daughter who is research director at Lux Research. She did her object that too hard for children but she enjoy to do that and when she tell about her process, I aware of her great feeling. She inspirited me to stop dreaming and start doing. No matter how old are you now! If you want to make it happen you should try to do, result of project might not success but you can gain experiences from each process.

Creativity is the new LITERACY.

(Photo: https://thornleyfallis.com/dos-donts-of-creativity/)

Creativity is the new LITERACY.
by Chase Jarvis

Chase Jarvis  has interesting attitude about creativity. There are some part of his talk impressed me. Firstly, he explain that creativity is an idea taking noting and making something. I'm encouraged that he said because creativity and independent will expand his vision. Second, Chase's example is Albert Einstein said that imagination is more important than knowledge. I strongly agree with this quotation because If I have more knowledge about some subject but I cannot adjust in my work that means I just smart in theory but in process of work I have to adapt and develop new thing for create great work.

Finally, his quotation that he said "CREATIVITY IS THE NEW LITERACY". He explain that literacy it means ability to writing and reading, so people should think outside of the box, which results in innovative. Moreover, everyone should realize about creativity that are the same our basic  skills.

THE MELTING POT on Presentation Day at Margate

We went to Margate by VIP van. :)
We very nervous and not confident with presentation but Adam always cheer up to do our best. ( We really appreciate you.)

We had lunch together in the beautiful garden and Tabula. (For me Tabula is a sign of delicious food >.<) After lunch, turn to serious mood, we prepared our presentation and we hope everything are going to be alright!!!!

I am so excited when I stayed in front of room and everyone looking on me. However, I saw someone smile when our video was showed, some friend laugh when they saw other friends' face in presentation. The result of our project were represented by everybody who joyed with us and asked other friend to stay together, sheared idea and experences. Althought in the first time or second time we just talk about food but after we know each other we would like to have conversation about daily life.

Finally, we hope everyone enjoyed with our presentation and tried to open your mind to interective with new people and learn each other.

THE MELTING POT

This is my first project in PSEAD course. In group D, we have 3 nationalities: Chinese, Taiwanese, and Thai. Therefore, we were mixed nationalities and separated by draw.

My member were three of Chinese guys and four of Thai guys. This project have only one week and we would like to do it our best. The TABULA project is new thing for us. We divided up the work and tired to manage our time table.  We shared idea and discussed together. Finally, we decided to create our project in concept "THE MELTING POT".

The idea of concept is Mixing Culture Through Food, so our first title was Open Kitchen after that we changed to The melting pot because before mixing ingredients we need to melt all of them.

In this project, my responsibility was proposal coorporater that is important part of project. I was so serious because proposal is academic work and I think my writhing skill need to practise more and more. Fortunately, I was in the greatest team. We helped each other and shared idea for work. Although, we had difference attitudes but we adjusted and mixed it together. Thank you for working together and we are the perfect ingredients in this pot.

Ai Weiwei

      (Photo: http://www.marcjacobs-handbags.com/ai-weiwei-sunflower-seeds)

When the video of Ai Weiwei ends, I was wondering in his attitude after that I came back to research more information about him. After I read his background, its make me stop to question why he has different ideas from other artists.
The most concept of his work is about satirize the society in China. One of his project that represent him is Kui Hua Zi (Sun Flower Seeds), 2009 that published by Carolina Nitsch for the New Museum, New York Kui Hua Zi. Ai Weiwei has manipulated traditional methods of crafting ceramic pieces resembling sunflower seeds that has historically been one of China’s most prized exports. Sunflower seeds are a symbol for a sustainable way of life. Packed in a modern household glass, they are a down-to-earth symbol to be used by everyone.

From my perspective, his project not only present Ai Weiwei’s ideas but also show part of his larger vision of interactivity in his works and metaphors of Chinese society. He is a great of example that stay strong in his attitude and tried to show what is he thinking about by the way of his art project. Moreover, he inspired me to believe in myself and do what I like that is the secret of happiness. It is easy to called “Freedom”
